Since it can take a while to upgrade your buildings, the time you spend waiting can be better well spent by attacking the captured islands, you can make new troops whilst you are building or upgrading, so you can battle as much as you want whilst waiting. If you need extra wood, chop down one of the trees on your island for 600 gold and you’ll get 300 pieces of wood in return. It’s always a good idea to go ahead and scout the island which you plan to attack, before you actually attack, that ways you can see whether you can defeat the islands defenses or whether all of your troops will be totally wiped out. Pay attention to your achievements and what you need to do to complete them, as completed achievements will reward you with diamonds, each achievement has three stars, you gain one every time you complete the requirements of the achievement, you gain different amounts of diamonds depending on which star you have filled, you get 10 diamonds for the first star, 20 diamonds for the second star and 30 diamonds for the third star.Stone and iron become important later on in the game and if you want to upgrade current buildings or build new ones, you"ll need both wood and stone or iron. You can typically earn enough stone and iron simply from winning battles. It"s important but you won"t use it too terribly often. When you"re getting ready to attack a new island, always scout it out first. It"s cost you nothing and you"re going to want to know what you"re walking into. This gives you the ability to choose what troops you should be sending in. Why risk getting more expensive and costly troops killed in an attack if you don"t have to? Send in only what you think you need.
This goes along with tip number 4. Once you"ve scouted an area out, make a plan of attack. If you can get away with going around guns and towers, do that. Go right for the base camp on an enemy island and destroy it. That"ll get you the win with the fewest amount of casualties about 99.9% of the time.
